819696 patch

I keep getting a reminder to install security patch
819696 and I have downloaded it many times. I have
searched for msblast.exe file and am clear. I have a
firewall and av software up to date. What could be wrong?

Download Directx 9.0b:

Choose "Save", do NOT choose "Open".
Reboot
Disable all unnecessary applications including antivirus.
Double-click the saved icon, follow prompts.
Reboot.
See if it is OK.
