I have installed 819696 Security Update over 6 times now
and XP continues to identify that this is a critical
update each time I go to the Windows site. Why?

Hotfix - Manual Entry. This small VB Script utility will allow you to enter
the appropriate KB number (Qxxxxxx or KBxxxxxx) and update the Registry so
Windows Update will recognize that the particular hotfix is installed.
