Remote Assistance glitch

I have a desktop PC running XP Home SP2. I connect via a DSL modem. I
have an uncle also running the same operating system and Internet setup. He
frequently sends me Remote Assistance invitations via email. This has
worked fine in the past. We've had about 10-12 successful sessions. Today,
he sent me 4 invitations via email, but none arrived in my Inbox. Just to
test, I tried sending myself an invitation to the same email address my
uncle always uses, and sure enough, it didn't arrive. So I tried sending it
to a 2nd email address I use; curiously this time it worked. I tried
sending a 3rd and final invitation to my Yahoo email address, but this one
didn't arrive. Any ideas what is going on? My SP2 firewall is set to allow
Remote Assistance.

Pardon my ignorance but I was not aware you could send Remote Assistance
invitation trough the e-mail and specially to non Hotmail or MSN type such
as Yahoo is. Can you explain how is this done? Is it possible that you are
refering to using Instant messenger instead of e-mail?

No, I've never used an instant messenger program to send or receive
Remote Assistance invitations, although that is an option. You merely open
the program, type in an email address, decide whether you want to use a
password, decide how long the invitation should last, and click send.

Yare are then not using the Messenger to send these invitations. What
program are you using to send the e-mails?

There is not such program provided with Windows unless you are talking about
the build in program imbedded in messenger. Is this some sort of program you
purchased?
