Trouble with Remote Assistance

When trying to use Remote Assistance when I attempting to open the file sent
by the computer asking for assistance, I receive the following message:"There
is a problem with the invitation and it cannot be opened. To use Remote
Assistance, the sender of this invitation will have to send you a new
invitation."
We've tried it several more times with the same result.

Does any one have anty ideas?

Thanks,
Rick J.

Hi Rick,

See if this applies:

I finally found out that the "Allow Remote Assistance invitations to be sent
from this computer" must be checked under the remote tab in System
Properties. I can't believe that this simple solution was not offered when
searching in Win XP help.

Thanks,

That's a different setting, Rick. "Allow Remote Assistance invitations to be
sent
from this computer" option need not be enabled in the expert's computer.
