The CD wont aim to be a solution for all people, it will just be a way
to get the bulk of the software with a minimum of effort. If you need a
different version of the software the Pricelessware site will still be
available as a resource.
A smaller ISO means:
- volunteer "copiers" have smaller downloads
- burning on CD is faster

The iso should make its rounds via snail mail anyway, there wont be that
many burners and I have done all the downloading already. As for speed,
we arent really talking much of a difference with todays burners

I think that a Pricelessware CD is a bad idea. For one thing - how long
before it's being sold on eBay? Why enable scam artists?

Pricelessware is a concept. The web site was a step in the wrong direction
- making a community of it and having elections is even worse. It's a form
of social engineering in what should be an open community. It defines a
hierarchy and social pecking order.

Just my opinion.

Well said.

Anarchism is very popular among youngsters today.
They oppose every form of organisation, even voluntary and democratic
organisation by common people.

That kind of anarchism is very good for the people who have the power
already, because it makes it impossible to create any alternative to the
rule of the very rich.
That is why the rich are backing up that form of anarchism, through movies,
music and tv, and these youngsters think they have invented it themselves.

The rich also back up "traditional values" like gender roles, eternal love,
and male honor. That is why we have so many hotheads.
Angry young men who are very excited and unable to think rationally.

This cultural pattern has been supported by rulers for thousands of years,
because it keeps the population occupied with watching each other all the
time. That kind of stupidity does not feel like stupidity, it feels like
unlimited wisdom.

When you think really fast it doesn't matter how stupid you are, you can
feel like a very wise person anyway.
Social dominance through adrenaline based intelligence.

Cover the adrenaline with conviction, called Love, and you can feel like
you are on top of the world.
Girls are trained from early teenage to have a lot of will power, so they
can be very convincing, and make one of those hothead boys very happy.

Created Love. Created minds. Creationism.

That's what it's all about.

Well said? I cant see how making FREE software available to the masses
that don't have fat pipes as a bad thing. People are still free to
download any software they want, the disk is merely a compilation of
free software, nothing more and seeing it as anything more is simply
overstating.

As for enabling scammers, somehow I don't think this is an attractive
item as there isn't that much on the disk, all the software is legal and
freely available. Not doing something because you are afraid someone
else will do something dishonest with it is never a good reason. What if
Thomas Edison never released the invention of electricity because he
though people would use it in a bad way?

In the MAME group we constantly monitor ebay and have all such auctions
canceled. As for the other points about social engineering and pecking
order, can you say PARANOID?

Presenting himself as the Pricelessware Administrator?
And therefore some authors have answered speaking of *his* website (sigh).
Keeping himself anonymous?

If he's doing a nice job, he's doing it in the wrong way, in my opinion.

Zoner Draw 3

I am confused about the Zoner Draw 3 reply.

"Thank you for your inquiry! Zoner will gladly give its
permission for
distribution of the registrationware Zoner Draw 3 on the
Pricelessware CD.
Simultaneously, we would like to point out the existence of the

publishing images, above all digital photographs. I will be
pleased if one or more people on the newsgroup inspect it, and
of course thrilled if it makes the pricelessware list in the
near future not to mention exalted if it makes the list in time
to make the CD as well. May I ask that you mention the request
for someone to take a look (if such requests are kosher?) Please

Is he saying that he now has two diiferent versions of his

Hmmmm..........Thomas Edison did NOT invent electricity. He simply found a

As a matter of fact he didn't invent the light bulb either, bought the

No, Edison didn't invent the lightbulb. He did, however,
invent a lightbulb that works. That is a significant
invention.
Reminds me of the story about how Bill Gates invented
Windows.
