IE won't install

I have windows xp and I installed the SP1 patch which I
believe now will not allow me to access https sites.

All secure sites using IE6 (netscape is fine) and MSN
Messenger displays a page cannot be displayed page.

When I try to reinstall, IE will not complete. It says
that it has not passed the "windows xp logo test". What the
heck is that? What a stupid message. I bought the
computer with xp and ie installed.

Foremost, I want to fix the fact that I cannot view secure
sites, but I should be able to install IE on my system.

I too have the same problem!! it wont let me play games
on MSN6, and i am unable to view a fair few sites for
some reason, even though the load on my friends computer
fine!! what is going on? how can i re-install IE6??
HELP!!!
