I have the same situation as yours. May I ask if you solve the problem
already? and how you did it? PLEASE!

I have done everything that I can do to get your link to work but as of right
now all I have is "compact, repair and clear outbox" still disabled. I need
to clear my outbox. Any other suggestions??
Thanks

If the buttons in WMUtil are disabled, you didn't follow the instructions
that come with it. You MUST first terminate the WinMail.exe process in Task Manager.

I have the same problem. Apparantly this new mail system which replaced OE
leaves a lot to be desired and as usual Microsoft does nothing to assist its
customers.

Read what respondents have posted in this newsgroup.
There are plenty of workarounds and alternatives.
No need to take a defeatist attitude.

I downloaded this last week when i first experienced the problem, and it
wouldn't work for me. I just downloaded the updated version, and have the
same problem: the boxes for fixing the problem are grayed out and I can't
click on them.

I am having the same problem and it really makes me mad! I cannot understand
how some of these people have said to fix it. I will have to pay someone to
come and set up my brand new computer. This is ridiculous!!! Help!!! Dee

The same problem as everyone else, huh?
If this "same problem" is a message you can't delete from the Outbox, See
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil
Please read ALL of the instructions. In fact, print them out. They are NOT
hard to follow.

Does anyone know if this is what I should do with Outlook 2003? I am having
the same problem and have basically isolated it to a problem with Vista, but
I am not using the Live Mail feature. Please help!

Outlook 2003 will work fine in Vista, if that's what you're asking.

Whether or not one uses "the Live Mail feature" (whatever that is)
has no bearing on whether one can use Windows Live Mail. It's
just another POP email client which just happens to have a
Hotmail access capability grafted on.
