************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Help I have run saved the WMUtil files and I am still unable to click on
compact database, repair database and clear outbox. I can't think what I am
doing wrong!! Would there be a firewall etc blocking this??? I am at my wits
end. I have a message stuck in the outbox which is blocking all incoming and
outgoing mail.

That sounds suspiciously like you are running WMUTIL from a folder
that doesn't include it's 'partner' scxout.dll which is part of the WMUTIL
download. Find it or redownload WMUTIL into a new folder.

Note: The zip file contains two files which must be saved to the same directory (one can use the Desktop). Then open WMUtil.exe to start the program.

I am having the same problem with an email stuck in my out box. I hae read
your instructions about setting up a separate directory and moving the mail
etc., I have downloaded the WMUtil program and when I run it, it gives me an
error message "The program has stopped working... Look for a solution
online?... etc. When I look online no solution is found.

I tried to download and install a second Mail program (Eudora) which
wouldn't work either (I guess this problem is blocking something on my
system).

I can't get rid of this stupid outgoing email and now I can't click on any
email to reply online to anything as this is blocking sending?

Why is MicroSoft not fixing this problem?

Please tell me how to get rid of this stuck email as the WMUtil program
doesn't run either.

Thanks.

Gary, This is the second time I have had this same problem as Tracy has, The
first time I talked to a lot of people at Microsoft, Gateway and even my own
ISP. No one could help me. I ask if the only way to fix this problem was to
reinstall Windows Vista. A Microsoft rep. started helping me do that he had
to forward me to someone else who put me on hold for a very long time, She
came back to me to let me know she had to speak to someone else and then hung
up on me. I finished the re-install myself and all went well until now months
later it happened again. I have a mail that did not send so it is stuck in my
out box and will not allow any other mail to send.
I also have always had problems with windows mail when I am typing a message
or replying to a message, the cursor jumps to another location in the mail or
it simply minimizes to the bottom tray.
These are problems within windows mail, how can it be fixed? Please I have
things saved that I do not want to loose? and I can't send mail until I get
rid of that stuck mail. For information it will not delete,move to a folder
or open.

Did you use Tqsk Manager to make sure that there was no WinMail.exe in
either Applications or Processes?

Are the problem messages in the Outbox?
