XP's USB device disconnection sound is not reliable

Hi,
I previously asked somebody having the same strange thing with XP SP2.

Although the flash drives of me and my friends are the same model and
brand, after i unplug my USB flash drive, i get no disconnect sound of
''dong'', i only get ''dong'' sound when USB device is connected. But
my friend's drive makes this XP's sound when plugging and unplugging
both. My drive has a few MB of free but my friend's drive has much
more than me.

Also some USB devices makes this sound in both cases(plug and unplug
as normal)

No error or problem just a determination of XP's sound information of
USB device's disconnection or connection.

Is there anyone experience that kind of problem in XP?

By default, the disconnect sound should be chosen already in the Control
Panel, Sounds and Audio devices app. The Souinds tab shows a dropbox for all
events like that, and what sound is assigned. If the setting is not blank,
maybe that sound file is corrupt.
To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW

Of course it is selected in sound properties.
I wonder why doesn't USB device disconnection make this ''dong'' sound
after ''every'' unplug of an USB device?...It hears sometimes.
