USB Problem with MP3 Player

My MP3 Player : MPIO FY600
My Computer : AMD Athlon XP 1800+ @ 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM PC2100
Motherboard : MSI KT3 Ultra 2 (MS-6380E), BIOS version 5.7 (latest)
USB Controller : VIA VT8235 Integrated South Bridge USB Controller

I bought my first MP3 Player yesterday. It’s an MPIO FY600. When I connect
it by USB on my computer, it is recongnized as a Mass Storage USB device but
it can’t finish the driver installation. Why ? Because there’s something
wrong with the USB drivers. I hear the USB connect sound (Windows XP sound
dong ding) and then, after 15 seconds, I hear the USB disconnect sound (ding
dong) followed by connect sound … after 15 seconds disconnect sound, connect
sound … I tried all my 6 USB ports (some are USB 1.1 and the others are USB
2.0) and they do the same problem. I tried uninstalling all USB controllers
and when I reboot, Windows XP reinstall all USB controllers, but that doesn’t
work. I also tried the new USB controller fix from VIA, it’s called
filter_nt (october 3rd 05) and it’s compatible for VT8235 using Windows XP (
I overwrote SYS files located Windows\System32\Drivers) but that doesn’t fix
my problem.

I can use my MPIO MP3 Player by desactivating this Mass Storage USB Device,
it seems that it is waiting for the next disconnect, and then I hear a
strange sound (dong dong dong). After that, when I re-activate it, it works !

Please, could you tell how to fix this problem ?

This message is sent to MSI (motherboard), VIA (Integrated South Bridge USB
Controller), Microsoft (Default Drivers) and MPIO (MP3 Player).
