xp wont load

i tried installing xp on a new comp build. gigabyte mobo,
2.4ghz, 80gb, 128 ddr. the installation goes fine all the
way through but when it goes to actually load windows the
screen freezes and wont do anything. i can manage to load
in safe mode and it seems to run ok for that mode but i
cant load at all in normal mode. any suggestions???

I have the same thing happing to me, but i can't use safe
mode because it does the same thing. it dies just before
the login screen. any ideas to fix this? please

Run XP compatibility checker before install. Remove all hardware except
mouse and keyboard and try again. Jym
