Now is the time to show your computer to a professional.

In addition, you really need to start backing up religiously.

Hi "katied",

Nothing backed up? Ouch! You should always make backup copies (plural) of
all your Valued Data on some sort of regular basis, at least monthly.

What is your complete Windows XP edition, version and Service Pack level?
(For instance, I'm using Windows XP Professional Edition, Service Pack 3.)

What same screen? What is the complete text of the "error" message,
including text that LOOKS_LIKE_THIS, and error code numbers? Have you made a
list of everything you have done with the computer since the last time that
it started normally? Are you able to press F8 to get to the Advanced menu
where you can choose Safe Mode, as well as other options? If an error
message appears too quickly to write down what it says, try pressing your
Pause/Break key to freeze it. Please provide as many details as you can.
Do you have a Windows XP installation CD? (Just asking for now.)

HTH. (Hope This Helps. :)
