I have tried all possible solutions from deleting to reinstalling but keep getting the following message in my xp pro fax console at the bottom of the window "all fax printers are inaccessible", I desperately need to send a couple of faxes. Can anyone please help me????

Have you got a third party firewall installed? If so, you need to
give fax programs need permission to work.

Otherwise you could try the following as advised by Microsoft support
to me for the same problem (caused, in my case, by running an old
version of McAfee Firewall).

Warnings -
(1) Do not edit the registry unless you know what you are doing
(2) Read and understand Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 256986 before
deciding whether to change your registry
(3) Take a system restore point before doing it
(4) This may not fix your problem!

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks), and
then click OK.

3. In the Registry Editor, browse to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\ClientProtocols

Check that the keys look like this:
REGEDIT
HK Local
Software
Microsoft
RPC
Client protocols

NEW STRING VALUE - TYPE REG _SZ
Ncacn_http rpcrt4.dll
Ncacn_ip_tcp rpcrt4.dll
Ncacn_np rpcrt4.dll
Ncadg_ip_udp rpcrt4.dll

If any of yours are different/missing, etc, ....

4. Right-click ClientProtocols, point to New, and then click
StringValue.

5. In the box that appears, type ncacn_np, and then press ENTER.

6. In the right pane, right-click ncacn_np, and then click Modify.

7. In the "Value data" box, type rpcrt4.dll, and then click OK.

8. Repeat steps 4 through 7 to add each of the following values and
their Value data.

- ncacn_ip_tcp = rpcrt4.dll

- ncadg_ip_udp = rpcrt4.dll

- ncacn_http = rpcrt4.dll
