fax inaccessible

I'm getting the message "All fax printers are inaccessible"
when viewing the Fax Console in Windows XP Professional.
The modem is recognized by Device Manager and there are no
conflicts otherwise. This was working flawlessly for over a
year, but now I cannot fax out or recieve faxes.

Have you installed a firewall recently? Two XP Fax processes need
full access.
