XP Home network printing problem.

I have 3 machines in a workgroup environment (2-2000, 1 XP
Home) There are 2 printers attached to the 2000 machines
(Lexmark Z52, HP LJ1000). The printers are shared with
full access rights. I am able to connect to the printers
with the XP machine but after it reboots the printers will
not reconnect - they must be reinstalled. When installing
them I am asked each time for a user name
and password. All the machines are logged into using the
"administrator" account with no password. There are no
issues with either of the 2000 machines connecting to the
printers so I am wondering why there is an issue with the
XP machine.

Hehe this is a good one

from ones understanding

your problem lies within both xp and 2k

in xp home your not logging on as the root administator..
like you do with windows 2k. You are just logging on
with admin rights.

grab your xphome username
and create an account on each of the 2k machines with
that exact user name and password thats on xp home(an
admin account if you choose). Re-install the
printers.... should be fine
