I am running two Epson R320 AIO computers networked using XP SP3. Both
machines use file sharing, and I can exchange folders and files each
way readily. The R320 is USB-connected to machine 1, and the printer
is flagged as shared with name R320. Same with machine 2.
I can print from machine 1 fine, but not machine 2.

I have just noticed that on machine 2, the R320 properties show 7
tabs, one of which is 'Security'. Also shows users allowed. On
machine 1, on the other hand, I only see 6 tabs, and the 'Security'
tab is missing, and I see no way to display access to users. I
suspect that might be my problem.

Anyway, how do I get a 'Security' tab to show on machine 1 R320's
properties?

Thanks

I got it working by 'adding' a new printer in Control Panel>printers,
and browsing for the R320 where it is USB-connected as the printer
desired. I still have the question about the missing 'Security' tab
though.

Thanks

Uncheck/untick/disable the "Use simple file sharing" checkbox from the
"View" tab of "Folder Option" dialog. This dialog can be access from Control
Panel or from the Explorer's "Tools" main menu. Reopen the printer's
property dialog to see the changes.

Thank you! I did what you so explicitly suggested, made printer
usable to all users, and the printer is now printing from all
machines.
