Hi all,
I need some advise/help with the following. For months now I can't seem to
find an article or fix for my hanging shutdown problem. I am running XP Pro
with all the latest SP, and security fixes. When connecting via Ethernet to
my home office (pier to pier) my pc will not shut down. It goes through the
shut down steps and then hangs when it gets to "windows is shutting down".
When I take home my laptop and do not have it connected any Ethernet
connection, it will shut down normally.
I used to be on another network with this machine and it started happening
at that office. I deleted any and all connections with the old network, and
it still hangs when I am connected to my network.
I have tried some of the more obvious fixes I found in the KB and none of
them solved my problem:
