XP Freeze

Everytime i restart my PC and XP loads up- my system
seems to freeze for around at least a minute on the XP
desktop screen before XP loads up.
Is there an update available to deal with this?

Check Device Manager for unknown/improperly installed devices. Install/update
drivers as needed.

Then check Event Viewer (Start - > Settings -> Control Panel - >
Administrative Tools - > Event Viewer) for possible errors.
