Following fax enabling instructions I use my XP cd and
get the message cannot find fxsapi.dll I have tried
this twice and on each occasion my DVD and CD-RW drives
are wiped out and can only be reinstalled by restoring
system.

Drive 'D' is DVD, drive 'E' is CD-RW. From My Computer I
get the message D:/ is not accessible
Incorrect Function

This does not sound like a fax or printing problem to me. You seem to have a
problem with your hardware or your disk.
