It is plugged in, volume up and on. In speeh set up there is no audio input as the help suggests. In sounds, the microphone test shows no input when I speak. Thoughts?

Be sure that the mic channel is active. With some soundcards, that
requires double-clicking the 'speaker' icon in the Notification Area, then
clicking on OPTIONS|PROPERTIES|RECORD radio button. Enable the mic channel.
Well I had the same problem and scanned about 40 or 50 of these messages and found that no one ever solved there problem and got back to the group. Either they solved the problem and didn't have the courtesy to let others know how they did it or they are still fumbling around with the same unsolved mystery. Well I'm here to tell you that I solved my problem by downloading the latest version of DirectX 9.0b. The mike is working great now! Hope this helps all you other people
