I had to do a system restore and then return back to the previous point. Upon
restarting, I glanced at a message that " ..windows had to use a log file for
file...". After restarting, I have not been able to boot all the way to the
user accounts. I appreciate your help.

Also, I have tried to go to the last known good point, and the safe mode.
Neither one will make it to the user account window to log in.

Same thing happened to me today except I got an error of a possible corrupt
file "fat32" but my system found it to be ok but then I am unable to complete
turning on my system. HELP!!!

What was the reason for your doing the system restore?
How far back was the restore point that you restored to?
If I understand you correctly, you then used system restore again to
"undo" the restore and go back to your original point. Is that
correct?

What are the technical specs of your computer, especially make and
model?
Do you have an actual Windows XP installation CD, a System Recovery
disk provided by your computer manufacturer, or a hidden System
Recovery partition on your hard drive? The answer to this question
will determine the direction of the next step(s).

Good luck
