Upon selecting Drive E:\ in explorer and then File/write these files to cd the
error screen immediately comes on, saying "There is no disk in the drive. Please
insert a writable CD into drive E:\. Changing the disk does not help. I have
made sure that Services/IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service is Automatic and On. I even
downloaded and installed the latest flash update for the drive (Memorex
52maxx_6WS6w). Nothing. Meanwhile, Nero has no trouble with it and Windows
cheerfully reads from it. OK, so stick with Nero. But I hate when something
doesn't work. So, 2 questions: How to fix it? and What program is activated to
start the burn sequence?

Thanks, neil. Everything checks out but still will not see the disk for writing.
Sees it fine for reading.

AOK. For the record, I had auto-run disabled. Turns out it needs to be on to
record.
