I'm using Windows-XP Home and just upgraded to a Memorex Combo Drive (Write
CD-R/RW & play DVD). I can rip from the drive but cannot burn to it. The
programs I use are MusicMatch Plus v8.1 & EZ CD Creator v6 both show "No
Media Found" when I try to burn. I have tried 3 brands of blank media
including
the Memorex CD-R that came with the unit with the same message.
Interestingly enough, I can place the same blank media in my TDK 440N DVD
burner and they burn just fine, although at a slower speed that advertised
by the Memorex unit. QUESTION: Is there a setting that I have to activate
to allow recording on the drive? If my memory is correct, I had to do this
for the TDK DVD burner to get it to work. If so, where is it located?
(I'm contacting the software companies to see if the Memorex drive is
supported.) HELP!
