Worms

me

I have two worms on my computer W32.Welchia and BlasterE.
I have run both removal tools twice (more than) on the
second run nothing is found. But still they come back. I
saved the tools to a stick memory. Do the tools look at
the stick memory, how can I check the stick memory.

Have you checked and made sure that the virii are not still located in your
System Volume Information folder(system restore folder)? If they are,
simply turn system restore off and reboot....when the comp starts back up,
turn restore back on and the create a restore point manually.

have you installed a firewall yet?
if not then you will keep getting hit with these.

To stop the rebooting/shutdowns, right click on the task
bar, choose task
manager, processes tab, look for msblast.exe. Highlight it
and click end
process. Then turn on the xp firewall.

To turn on the firewall: control panel, network and
internet connections,
network connections, right click your connection,
properties, advanced tab,
check the protect my computer box. Do this as quickly as
you can once the
desktop comes up. Then visit the sites below for the
removal and patch info.

Also make sure to follow the links to the Microsoft pages
for the patch or
visit windows update for the patch after you remove it.
