Word 2004 Mac OS X won't launch

I bought Office 2004 for my new G5. The first few days Word worked fine. I
installed some new fonts the other day, and now after a restart of the
machine and launching Word, it just sits there showing me the Word logo
window. It's been doing this for nearly an hour now. It did it earlier, and
I had to force quit it. Now it's doing the same thing all over again.

Any ideas why, or better yet, what I can do about it?

Tks

Problems with Word crashing, misbehaving etc should be directed to a Mac
specific group..
See here for gateway to Mac-specific ngs:

However, there is a lot of troubleshooting information here:

(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

Your problem definitely sounds like a corrupt font--font management in Word
is quite complicated--I suggest you take out the fonts you installed, and
you may want to spend $5 on this ebook which gives much attention to fonts
in Word.
