Won't remember folder's settings

I changed a folder to show the icons in detail and by type. Everytime I go
back, it's back to the thumbnails again and arranged by name. I went to the
folder options, made sure it remembered the folder's view, and even
unchecked that box. Closed the folder, went back and re-checked it, closed
the folder, and it still did not remember the settings. I also went into
TweakUI and changed the limit for remembering settings from 400 to 900, and
it still won't remember the settings. Should I increase that 900 to
something even higher? What else could I try?

Change dword value "BagMRU Size" to 1500 (dec) or 5DC (hex) in both keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam
Delete also registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StreamMRU

PS. Create restore point before making any registry changes.

Run the edit on line 2 left side.

It was working with different folders, but still not all of them were
working properly after that. I restarted my machine (one of the most basic
things that I should have tried first.) and now it works. Thanks. I guess
I'll probably need it to remember thousands of folders anyhow as much as I
use this computer. I have to do my folder settings all over again as it
ended up losing all of the settings, but I guess it's fixed, so that's
better. Thanks again.

In folder options, there is a box to be checked "remember each folder's view
options" ,something like that.
