Recycle Bin Folder View

I cannot get my recycle bin to hold it's folder view. I have it set for
details (which it holds) & try to sort by descending Date Deleted (which it
won't hold). I keep sorting it by Date Deleted by clicking the column
twice, but after I close & reopen it, the sort is lost. In fact, I can't
figure out what it's sorting by...it's not by name, date, type...

I tried deleting:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState

Settings value
My
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

Shellstate value

I deleted the keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags

I changed the values of:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell to 8000
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam to 8000

Then I set all folders to detail view, arranged by name. Then I set each
special folder that I wanted differently to the way I want & used Folder
Options View tab to remember each folders settings.

Every folder holds it's settings EXCEPT the recycle bin. In fact, the
little triangle on the column "Date Deleted" points downward the way it
should in the recycle bin. It's just that the folder won't hold it's
setting.

Any ideas?

Use this VBScript to set your folder views:

Thanks for this. Funny, I saw this same post (so I think it was by you) somewhere else
in the newsgroup, but the links were wrong & I couldn't get to the web page. Anyhow,
I've downloaded & looked at the script, I'll give it a try, although it seems like I've
manually done the things that the script does. I'll let you know.
