wmp 11 won't play sound

I am using a sigma tel card with audigy advanced mb upgrade. My music
(mostly mp3s) play fine on other programs, but not in wmp 11. I've
reinstalled the sound drivers and wmp 11 but nothing worked. Any ideas on
how to fix it?

Yes, rollback to WMP10, too many problems encountered with v11.

Having trouble with WMP 10 and when I try to reinstall it. It tells me
there is a later edition and won't install. I have not installed a later
version but maybe MS done somthing to it behind my back. Win XP Media. It
is not shown in the ADD REMOVE so can't remove it.
