WMP 11 Wont Play Any Streaming Radio...Not Even Media Guide Statio

Hello, and thanks for reading -- and helping, I hope.

I get the "specified protocol is not supported" error message. I followed
the Knowledge Base instructions for this error message, and nothing changed.
I DO have all the "Protocols for MMS URLS" enabled. I even tried the
suggestion of renaming my WMP 11 file (make it a .bak file) and restarting,
but no go.

No radio plays at all on this player. I get every player I try on my WMP 10
machine running XP in the other room. Other audio and video files play fine
on this player, streaming or on disc...it seems only to be streaming RADIO
that wont work.

What can I do? Thanks for ANY help!!

You can troll through this lot for a start :

Thanks very much for the resposne, plectrum. I did a few Google searches on
my own, but tried your string anyway. I found two cases of the exact
problem, one with an ALLEGED "solution" behind a pay-firewall, and one just
posted at TechGuys with no responses yet. Most of the other Google results
on your search had to do with different protocol issues, unrelated to WMP and
streaming audio.

So...I have to plead again -- anyone out there with ideas? Thanks for trying!

Mike
