No video in WMP 11

When I play a .wmv file in WMP 11 it only plays the sound and no video. I
have tried a roll-back to WMP 10 but it was the same. I reinstalled WMP 11
still the same. Any ideas?

If you reduce your Graphics Hardware Acceleration
as per the instructions in the following article and
realize an improvement, it's an indication that you
