winlogon.exe - Unable To Locate Component

ok, im not totally sure what happened but, everything loads normally until
time to log in. Before it even starts to log in it gives a error message that
looks like this.

winlogon.exe - Unable To Locate Component

This application has failed to start because COMCTL32.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

and a button at bottom saying "OK"

after clicking "OK" it gives this message

User Interface Failure

The Logon User Interface DLL msgina.dll failed to load.

Contact your system administrator to replace the DLL, or restore the
original DLL.

Then a button saying "Restart"

normally i would simply format and reboot computer, only there are files
needed on hardrive.

What was the last program you installed?

When did this start?

How long has this been going on for?

This can be a simple solution where running sfc will fix the issue or this
can be bad because the registry may have forgotten which GINA is doing what
(in the correct order).

im not sure what the last program that was installed was, but i do know that
it started yesterday and i haven't been able to get back on sense then. And
what you said about the gina not doing the right order sounds about right
considering its not loading. I just dont know how to correct such a problem
without a wipe lol anyways thanks for your reply Robert,
