Windows XP professional setup hangs at 'Installing Network'

I am trying to install a fresh copy of Windows XP professional and it is
getting hanged at:

'Setup will complete in 32 minutes'
'Installing Network'

phase.... Keyboard is working... the text shown on the window also keep
changing including the bottom right progress indicator...

But the installation progress bar is not moving and the setup is hanging
there itself... For the last 24 hours it is hanging there only....

I tried 3 times.... it is stopping at the same point...

What could be the problem...?

Hi djcaseley,

Thanks for the info.
Disabling the onboard LAN card in BIOS done the trick for me...
