Hello, i tried to update my Windows XP Pro. to SP1, but
when the installation whas completed the installation
prgram loaded and loaded, when it had donned that for
30min i got annoyed and closed it.
Is my computer to slow for it?
I got Pentium 3 500Mhz CPU, 160ddr RAM and it's made for
Windows 98, but i can run Windows XP Pro. Faster than my
computer did with 98.
So is my computer to slow for SP1?

SP 1 requires a 40 MB download and then has to install. You didn't wait
long enough. Just start the update and walk away.

40?! You left a off the front of that! The network installation is 134MB.

That's not true. It is only a 40MB download. The installation takes a bit
of time since part of this SP is the .NET Framework installation (24MB).

Just prior to the download/install, you are asked if you wish to save your
current configuration or not. If you choose yes, the install will take even
longer, but will still be only 40MB.

You might be thinking of the .NET Framework SDK install, which is 120MB.

You probably have a version of SP 1 that included the .NET Framework SDK,
which is not part of the Windows Update SP 1.
