I have been trying to install the fax in windows xp but it will not
see my cable modem. Can some one tell me where I can get some help on
this.
Thanks
Pete

Of course it can't.
Fax uses phone lines, not the Internet.
You must have an analog fax modem and an analog phone line if you want to
fax. If you want to use the Internet, you'll have to subscribe to an
Internet Fax Service.

Well, DUH! This really is common sense (not that you appear to have any!).
Do you make phone calls with your cable connection?! Of course you don't!
They why on earth do you expect to be able to use it to fax?!

Well, DUH yourself. Ever heard of voice over IP? Cable companies ARE getting
into the phone business and commercial systems available today. Probably
something you've never heard of in your little world. Conversely, telephone
companies are delivering digital TV.
