I use a motorola SB5100 cable modem
And computer came with connexant 56K DATA/FAx modem.

Hello, I use Windows XP, Service pk 2 has been installed,I connect to the
internet via cable modem (motorola SB5100 series) , normally I have a
telephone cord pluged into back of my computer that I connect directly to my
phone line (land line).A Connexant 56K Data/Fax Modem , I also have in . When
I would fax I could not only see a small box open showing the progress or fax
status . I would also hear the ringing until receiveing line picked up to
accept my fax. Recently I have not been able to send faxes. When I go to fax
console and then outbox my fax attempts are there with red circle with x in
it . Upon opening properties of a outbox fax the extended status reads "fatal
Error" , along with JOB ID: 0x0201080a30b2a429, Broadcast
ID:0x2001080a30b2a1b8. Not that this means anything but I figure I 'll give
as much information as possible.

I have had off and on difficulties with my fax but usually I am able to
resolve them myself , not so this time and I have been working on it more
that 2 weeks. If there is anything else that needs to be known about my system
please let me know. Thank you all for your attention !
Please HELP!

What happens during the fax transmission itself? What error messages do you
receive?
