Windows XP and Roxio InCD

GVH

I am running XP and trying to get Roxio InCD program to
run. Each time I place a CDRW disk in the drive and then
ask InCD to format, the message I get is:
InCD could not cliam the drive, please make sure another
application is not using it.

I have tried to Disable the IMAPI CD burning service and
the unchecked the "Enable Recording on this drive" through
he properties of the CDRW drive. This has not helped and
I keep getting the same message. The CDRW drive will
write using XP CD burning software so I know the drive is
working. Any suggestions. I have uninstalled and re-
installed the InCD software a number of times and that
doesn't change anything. I'm lost!!!

Pleasr reply to this to my email address of:
(e-mail address removed)
Thanks!!

My suggestion would be to 1) see if any updates for the sw
exist. and 2) check roxio's knowledge base.

Roxio is not InCD.

Yes, my mistake. I meant that I was trying to get Nero
InCD to work. Each time I try and format a disk using
InCD, I get: "InCD could not claim the drives" message. I
have done everything I could find on the subject and none
get the program to run. I was also thinking that Windows
Media Player was probably the program accessing the CDRW
drive and I have removed the check mark in Media Player
about using InCD under options and also removed the check
mark in the Background under options. As I've said, I've
tried everything and am looking for some assisance if any
is out there!!

Thanks for your reply!!

I would make sure you start on a clean playing field

Uninstall nero in so far as you have succeeded. And make sure you have
latest download, and check the site for supported drives to make sure
you have support for yours.

Tidy up registry references - get a registry patch file, cdgone.reg,
from www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and
merge it into the registry

Then start out with the main nero install, followed by the InCD one

HALT! Problem found. You are running software that doesn't exist as
there is no Roxio InCD.

Roxio makes Drag to disc, or something along that name.

InCD is made by Nero.

The two UDF systems don't play well together.
