How do I burn an ISO image onto a CD+RW (not +R !) and make it bootable ? Alternatives to InCD ?

As I had to notice writing a bootable ISO image onto a Rewritable CD (e.g. CD+RW) shows problems
when the target CD was previously burned at least one time.

The reason is that the (normal) burning software could not write the boot record onto an
already burned (and afterwards erased) rewritable CD.

Sometimes third party software like InCD is recommended. I don't like InCD because
a lot of people tell about deinstallation and other problems.

Are there any alternatives ?

Maybe there is a burning software which offers burning bootable ISO images on rewritable CDs
out of the box (Nero does not).

I use nero to burn all my CDRs and CDRWs. I never use InCD or any packet
writing software with CDRWs and I have never had a problem with boot CDs
whether they have been erased or new. What error are you getting. Are you
sure its not the make of disc? Also make sure you haven't formatted the disc
as that might give errors. Use the CDRW just like a normal CDR. Burn it with
nero like normal.

As to the guy who says use CDRs instead of RWs with RWs you can try
different things and erase the disc and start again. Even though CDRs are
cheap when you have burnt ten or twenty coasters as you are trying to work
something out you will see why RWs are so good. Why throw things away when
you can reuse them. I recently worked on making a boot disc from scratch
using the eltorito standard and it took several attempts to get things as I
wanted. Why would I want to waste CDs when RWs work perfectly and there is
no waste.

That's very vague as you do not indicate what you think is normal.

INCD cannot write an ISO image to CD. Its resulting burned CD is meant to
be using in windows with some sort of INCD format reader installed. The
contents of that burned CD is normally user files.

You are totally wrong here. Am using Burning Rom version 5.5 with all the
patches, 6 is basically the same with more eye candy, more intuitive menu.
If you're talking about Neroexpress, then indicate that. If so, don't use
it for burning an ISO image.
