Turning a floppy .iso image into a bootable CD

Hey, I read somewhere that it might be possible to turn bootable floppy disks
into bootable CD format. I dont have a floppy disk that I need to convert,
rather I downloaded a program which came with a bootable floppy .iso, and
when I try to burn it onto CD nero asks me to instal a floppy diskette...I
dont have a floppy drive so I cant do this.

Is there a way to burn the .iso onto a cd which will boot?
Thanks a lot!

Install a floppy drive.

Plato why do you come here? Have you ever actually helped anyone solve a
problem, or do you just state obvious and idiotic answers? How much of your
life do you spend reading posts and then responding with complete nonesense?
I came here to ask someone who actually knows something about computers to
help me out...If you dont know how to fix my problem simply dont reply. Go
to the "Unhelpful, Sarcastic, and Pompus User Newsgroup".

I do not need a floppy drive, I need to create a bootable cd from a floppy
disk image. I could spend £20 on a new floppy drive or I could get help and
fix it for free.

p.s. do not feel that you have to sarcastically respond, I am not interested.

There isnt, no. It's for a program called HDD Regenerator which I want to
try out, but the image is for a floppy disk. When I try to just burn the iso
as a bootable cd nero asks for a floppy diskette...I can burn it as a data
cd, but that wont boot.

Thanks,
Alex

You have to change the file extension on the iso file. Think Nero Burning
Rom is looking for "nrg" for the source iso.

You shouldn't need to change the extension. ISO is a common disk-image
format that should be readable by any CD burnning software.

You should be able to select the extension from the drop-down menu at the
bottom of the Open file window.

Nero should have an option to make a bootable CD using an existing image
instead of a floppy.
