question about Nero's InCD software in XP

Using INCD in winXP.
but my batch files says
Xcopy "C:\WINDOWS\WLOGKEY.ini" "F:\WLOG\" /D /Y
which should only write the data IF it's changed from the existing file.
When I use this to a hard drive, it works
but when I use this command to the INCD powered CDRW drive it ALWAYS writes
the data.

and even though I see no major change in file size, the available space
deminishes greatly.
it's as if XP is appending the new data, without erasing the old, and
reporting the loss of space.

Same command with a target of a hard drive writes only if new, and does a
proper overwrite.

I would prefer to use the native XP cdrw process but I can't figure out how
to automate the two step process of XP CDRW writing.

Please and thank you.

I just used the XP CDRW to make a slipstreamed Xp and SP2 cd..(Using
Autostreamer)......I literally just right clicked on the folders and sent
them to the D: drive (in my case it's D) then when I right clicked on that
drive it told me that files were waiting to be written and that's what I
did. originally tried it with INCD and Nero Burning Rom and both screwed
up.

Nero needs a patch to work properly with SP2. The files are available
for free download on Nero's site. Go to www.nero.com.

Just made a slipstreamed SP2 CD using Autostreamer and Nero 5.5. No
problems whatsoever. Works great, I just tried it. What patch does
Nero need?

I have Nero's Ultra Edition 6 and it has always worked very well. I
usually only use Nero Express instead of all the other stuff. After
SP2, burning a cd-r failed. I went to Nero's site and found upgrade
patches for all 6 bits of the program and the Release Notes said that
the patch for the major part of the program fixed "compatibility
issues" with SP2. The Notes didn't specify what exactly the issues
were. I downloaded all the upgrades, installed them, and Nero worked
again.

That's fine for nero 6. There are not patches for nero 5.5 but well for INCD
Last version Incd 4300 works fine. NOT NERO 5.5

Any idea?

Contact Nero tech support. Since I don't use the older Nero, I can't
answer your question. Sorry.

It has a new 6.3.20 version. The only trouble I had seen with 6.3.17 in
SP2 was a case a couple of days ago, where I has set to finalise CD,,
and it failed in the final Fixation (the disk was perfectly usable).
The effect was not consistent, but might be enough for them to come up
with a fix.

The D switch is rather only copy if the *creation* date of the source
is later than that of the target file, not if it has changed, so I don't
think you are expecting the right result of it. Run XCPOY /? for the
explanation of the switch
