Windows wwill not start

I turned my computer on and it said "windows did not
start sucessfully" and it gave me 5 options on how to
start my computer 3 were safe mode with options, 1 was
last known good configeration and the last one was satrt
normally. The three safe mode options just produced words
and numbers at the bottom of my screen and the last two
looked as if it was going to start but after that it just
went to a black screen.

You can try to repair that installation.
Insert the XP CD and try to boot from it.
Select repair existing installation and follow the needed steps.

Hi,
Have you tried System Restore with latest 'good' restore point?If that
doen't help you then you may try a repair install.
