Windows won't update, using SP2

[DOOGIE 66]

My boss cannot get his updates to load. He can download them OK but his
computer keeps telling him that the updates could not be loaded.

He is using a Dell, using a Celeron chip, with 512mb memmory and a 80g hard
drive.

Also he is using Norton 360 for virus protection.

PLEASE HELP!!

Temporarily turn of Norton 360 and then try installing the updates.
