I have a customer who called this evening after installing SP2 on his laptop
running Xp Home. He says that he received the screen after install about
turing on the firewall & automatic updates. Ok all is well there but once he
finished with that it is now asking him for his password. Now he tells me
that he didn't have one because before it would auto boot into windows at
startup.
So I told him to log in as administrator by crtl, alt, delete 2 times fast
at the welcome menu so that it brings up the login screen and it won't let
him login as administrator because there is a local policy restriction. So
after installing SP2 it won't let him log in with any of his user/pass
combinations or the administrator.
What gives????
