Windows wont start anymore

all of a sudden and for no reason my xp wont start up It automatically goes
to the start options but after selecting any of them none work
safe mode, command prompt or last known good configuration.
windows looks as if its starting up then goes back to the start screen with
the same f8 options anyone got any suggestions

Possible that your hard drive has failed.
