windows welcome screen pops up on its own

Hi!
The problem started yesterday, after I used windows update to get .net
framework and some other updates. After that the welcome (log in) screen has
popped up on its own from time to time. There seems to be no logic in it, may
happen 1 in an hour or 2 times a row during 5 minutes. Very annoying and
obviously something is not right with windows? I checked for viruses,
spyware, troyans etc nothing found, so the problem is windows itself. Anyone
familiar with the issue?
Thanks already! Oh, and I'm using Windows Xp Professional, and it should be
as up to date as it can be.

By default, the only way to log on automatically is to have only one user,
and no password. Putting in frameworks adds a user. (it can be harmlessly
deleted)

Another, and better way:
I recommend you choose a password, but you don't have to. o to start/run,
and type 'control userpasswords2' , Uncheck the password option, and follow
the wizard. This will log you on without asking for the password
