Login prompt after Welcome Screen

Running XP Home SP3 on a Dell Inspiron 6000...

The welcome screen appears and shows both users (user1 and user2 for
example). When user2 clicks the icon for that account, sometimes the Windows
Login dialog box then appears and the user has to hit the enter key or click
on the OK button. Windows loads just fine after that. This just started in
the past couple of days and doesn't happen every time the system is booted.
It appears to be random and I can't make it repeatable. It just happens when
it happens.

I have run AV, malware and spyware scans and the laptop is clean. Nothing in
the event viewer indicates any secuity or login problems.

This isn't a big deal but it is annoying and I'd like to fix it.

Suggestions are welcomed

Thanks

Try Power Toy's Tweak UI from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Install, run and under Logon you will find check boxes to select the
accounts you want displayed and in the Autologon you can choose to
Enable/Disable it by Checking or un-checking the 'Logon automatically'
option.

TweakUI is a very useful tool and is relatively safe for most users as they
don't need to use the registry editor or other less obvious methods to make
changes to Windows.
