Windows XP Professional Hibernate/Welcome Screen Problem

To Whom It May Concern:
This problem concerns Windows XP Professional 32-bit on my laptop. It only
applies after I resume Windows from Hibernate or Standby. Instead of showing
the normal blue "Welcome Screen," prompting me to enter my password, it shows
a tan box, like the old Windows operating system boxes, and says "Enter
password to unlock computer." However, I would was wondering why my computer
has changed itself to this classic Windows "unlock dialog" rather than the
standard Windows XP blue welcome screen.

This started happening two days ago, and I have checked the Power Options,
Display Options, Control Panel->Change Accounts->Enable Welcome Screen,
Control Panel->Display, and everything else I can think off, but the classic
Windows box still appears after I resume from Hibernate or Standby to enter
my password. Obviously, it shows the blue "Welcome Screen," on Startup and is
normal when I remove my personal password. Do you guys have any thoughts? I
haven't changed anything to my knowledge and System Restore doesn't work
either – I'm thinking it may be something in the registry or Administration
Templates.

You sure the plain-looking password prompt isn't for your your
password-protected screen saver? If your host was idle long enough to
go into a low-power mode (Standby or Hibernate) then it was probably
also idle long enough to trigger the screen saver.

Try going to Help and Support Center>System Adminstration>Passwords and
User Accounts>Fast User Switching>Related Topics>Turn Welcome Screen On and
Off and
Turn Fast User Switching On and Off. See if you can make any changes
there.
