Recently got broadband, in windows mail, can still receive emails, but it
wont allow me to send, cannot figure out any change in settings? Please help

So what happens when you try to send? Do you get an error message?
If so, right-click on it, copy, then paste that error message into a reply here.

Also let us know who your broadband provider is.

Hey Gary
Do you have any idea why in my e-mail I have suddenly started losing my sent
e-mails on a daily basis, almost as if the system is set to delete all sent
messages every day.

All I see in the sent folder are messages I sent today, everything else
appears to have been deleted.

Can you help - I'm guessing I have a messed up setting somewhere?
Cheers
Mike

Open the Sent Items folder, then look near the upper right corner.
Does it say "Hide Read Messages" or "Show All Messages"?
You want the latter setting for what is known as the 'Current View'.

If that did not solve it, which antivirus are you running?
