I can't send emails

Please help!! For the past couple of days, I can't send emails from my
windows mail. I can recieve emails. My last sent email went into my out box
and wont allow me to delete the email. My cable provider said this may be
preventing me from sending a email. Error message saids - message cant be
displayed- windows mail encountered an unexpected problem when displaying
this message. What shall I do? Thank You!
