Windows Mail not receiving mail containing senders embeded logo

K

KenBob

I have Lenovo N500 running Vista Home Premium with windows mail.
One business that e-mails me has their logo embedded below the senders name.
Windows mail never receives their e-mails and sender is not receiving any
notification of non-delivery
I have had to set up a separate web mail account to receive their e-mails.
If I forward emails received from them at my web mail account on to my
windows mail account I still do not receive them in windows mail
However if I delete their logo before forwarding they arrive in windows mail.

Windows mail is not placing these e-mails in Junk folder
I cannot find an obvious setting to change to allow these e-mails to arrive.
I am very concerned because there could be other e-mails that I am not
receiving because of similar situation

Check the Junk folder and its settings on the server of your ISP.
Add them to the safe senders list there.

I have now added them to the safe senders list and reviewed all the junk e-mail setting still no joy. I would re-state that the offending emails never arrive, but if the corporate logo is deleted they do arrive. I cannot instruct the sender to remove their logo, but I ought to be able to receive it.

I know that you said that the messages never arrive, that is why I told you
to check out your ISP's junk or spam folder.
I said add to safe senders there, not in WM.
Who is your mail provider?

Well I think I have resolved the problem but not 100%. At least I found the missing e-mails and not just the ones I knew I was missing. I logged into BTYahoo using the same e-mail address I use for Windows mail and the messages were all in a Spam folder. Spamguard plus had trapped them all and as there is no Spam folder in my windows mail I was not aware that they were there. I moved them all to inbox within BTYahoo as I was happy I knew the senders and this should train spamguard not to consider they are Spam in furture. I can now view them in Windows mail. Is it safe to switch off Spamguard to ensure I receive all e-mails and then will Windows Mail check them and maybe place them in Junk e-mail if senders not in my contacts list or will I always have to keep forever checking BTYahoo spam folder. I don't like BTYahoo because I don't seem to be able to save copies of my e-mails to folders outside of the BTyahoo application
Thank for your help it pointed me in the right direction

I am not familiar with BT's Spam policy, so I can't advise on its workings.

Does it not have an option to mark messages as "Safe" etc?

The decision to turn off the filtering at server level is for you to make
KenBob, try it and see how it serves you?

I am with Orange, and I check the server side weekly to check for false
Junk, up to you?

Anyway I am pleased to hear that you got it sorted, and thanks for the
feedback.

My US Yahoo account has a setting allowing me to download *all* email,
even the ones considered to be spam. Also, there is an option to have
'[Bulk]' put in the subject line of the latter. I use that tag for filtering in
WM, so I can divert those to the Junk E-mail folder for later perusal.
