Windows Logon Screen

I have Windows XP Home edition. When I turn it on it loads my settings and
does not stop at the logon screen despite having my user account
(administrator) set as password protected. If I activate another account it
still goes stright into my settings without stopping at a logon choice
screen. How do I get it to stop at the logon screen and require a password to
proceed? My administrator account shows as password protected.

Hi,

Click start/run, type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes) and
click ok. Enable (check) the box requiring a username and password, click
apply/ok.

If you have TweakUI for WinXP installed, make sure the autologon feature
there is disabled as well.

Thanks Rick

It was the TweakUI for WinXP which I had 'tweaked' months ago and then
forgotten about. I simply unchecked the autologon and it now presents me with
the logon screen
